Food blog - Sea Swiper

August 31st, 2009

Finished class at 12pm today so i walk to the CUB to grab some food. It being lunch time you can be certain of the long lines awaiting you if you want something from Panda Express or Carlita's. I decided to check out Sea Swiper for lunch today. This is my second time that i visited this place, the first time i had clam n chips and tried the oyster too. I must say i love their fried seafood. Anyways, located on the CUB's Ground level, it is located right next to Tully's. There was a big crowd of people in front of Tully's and Sea Swiper. Luckily the line was really short, only three people in front of me, so i didnt have to wait no more than three minutes (most people were actually waiting for orders).

Looking at the menu i saw sandwiches and wraps for five dollars. They had turkey club, roastbeef and chedder, veggie, and ham and cheese. I decided to try their five dollar sandwich - turkey club ($5.39 total). It was on thick pieces of sourdough bread but contained lots of turkey, a slice of swiss cheese, slices of tomato, a piece of lettuce, and thick crunchy bacon. They ask if you want packets of mayo and mustard when you order.

half of the turkey club

Im not a big fan of sourdough bread unless its with a jumbo jack so i put mayo and mustard on my sandwich. But i will say the bread was nice and soft. I was very surprised when i took my first bite because the bacon was crunchy! Lots of sandwich places cant keep their bacon crunchy when its been in the fridge. The overall taste of the sandwich was good and half the sandwich filled me up. However, the swiss cheese couldnt really be tasted when eating the sandwich :( .

what the sandwich contained.
see how thick the bread was.

So if youre hungry and dont want to wait in a long line to spend lots of money. Sea Swiper is a great place to grab a sandwich or wrap. I plan on trying a wrap next time so i wont have to eat sourdough bread :P .
